Piano Teacher’s Terms and Conditions

1. Registration
All qualified piano teachers in Singapore are welcome to register as a piano teacher with SingaporePianoLessons.net if you meet all the criteria as stated in our Terms and Conditions.

2. Registration Fee
There is NO registration fee for piano teacher. However, SingaporePianoLessons.net reserves all rights to reject your registration when incomplete information is given.

3. Eligibility
For piano teacher to be eligible, you must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident or hold a student pass. You must be at least 18 years old. You need to have a minimum Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) or Trinity College London (TCL).

4. Assignment
SingaporePianoLessons.net reserves all rights to assign piano lesson jobs as deem relevant to student’s requirement. No question will be entertained, whatsoever.

5. Payment
A one-time commission (covers the costs of administration costs) of 50% of the first month lesson fee will be levied to the piano teacher upon the commencement of the assignment. This fee will be collected from the student or parent and deducted from the first month’s piano tuition fee. Therefore, only 50% of the tuition fee will be due from the student or parent at the end of the first month. Teachers with first-lesson fee collection policy may do so after first month.

6. Trial Lesson & Payment
If the student requests for a trial lesson, it is up to the teacher to accept or reject trial lesson. Teachers who accepted the trial lesson will be paid pro-rated according to the 4 lessons per month rate. While we work to make the best possible connection, the teacher and student should approach the trial lesson with the right mindset. To promote the right attitude, we will charge the teacher 50% of the trial lesson fee.
The trial lesson fee will be waived if the student agrees to continue with the teacher.

Eg. If the monthly piano lesson fee for 4 lessons is $160, the trial lesson works out to $40 per lesson, which is payable by the student.

Commission fee of 50% of trial lesson fee is still payable to SingaporePianoLessons.net by the teacher. In this example, 50% of $40 works out to be $20.

7. Cancellation of Assignment
The piano teachers will be held responsible in providing an advance notice of 2 days, prior to their first lesson, to inform SingaporePianoLessons.net via SMS or phone call (65) 98532750 should they decide to forgo the appointed assignment. A failure to do so or providing a late notification will result in lower priority in future assignments.

8. Termination of Assignment
The piano lessons fee to SingaporePianoLessons.net still stands even if the piano teacher decides to prematurely terminate the appointed assignment before the end of the first month. The piano lessons fee to SingaporePianoLessons.net will also stand even if the student decides to prematurely terminate the assignment before the end of the first month. If the student request for a change of piano teacher after the first lesson, the teacher will only be entitled to 50% of the first lesson only.

9. Verification of Qualifications
Piano teachers will be required to bring all their necessary certificates for verification purposes by the student on the very first lesson, should the student request for it.

10. Disclaimer
SingaporePianoLessons.net is not responsible for resolving any conflict or disagreement that may arise between piano teacher and student. However, we are always prepared to offer our views and suggestions. In addition, SingaporePianoLessons.net will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages arising in connection with the use of this website.
